Volunteering
We work with volunteers and interns on a professional basis, offering you the chance to develop your skills and employability while we benefit from your effort and insight.Internships
Where we are looking for a specific project to be fulfilled, we will usually advertise an internship opportunity, using a formal application and interview process. Internships may be offered for anything from a half-day per week to a full-time post.
Unfortunately, we are not in a position to provide interns with a salary, but we do pay a standard contribution to cover your travel, lunch and other costs.
Our current and recent interns have enabled us to:
- Research the international interests of Welsh politicians
- Understand more about diaspora communities in Wales, and Welsh diaspora communities overseas
- Attract more schools to take part in CEWC-Cymru’s activities
- Work on improving our media profile
At present we have no vacancies for interns, but if you would like to be kept informed of future opportunities, please e-mail
naomiblight@wcia.org.uk.
Office volunteers
We also provide more informal volunteering opportunities, in particular to help us increase our working capacity during hectic times. Volunteers may be asked to promote our work, phone supporters, help with admin tasks or help us prepare for events.
Please e-mail
naomiblight@wcia.org.uk if you are interested in volunteering with the WCIA.
Gardener volunteers
Our base, the Temple of Peace in Cardiff, is the proud home of the
Garden of Peace. We are often looking for green-fingered volunteers to help out with planting, weeding, tidying and DIY tasks. If this sounds like you, contact Naomi Blight on 029 2022 8549 or
naomiblight@wcia.org.uk.
