Conferences & Seminars Council Chamber
With its impressive marble Main Hall (200 capacity - theatre style), the Georgian wood-panelled Council Chamber (50 capacity - theatre style) and smaller meeting room (20 capacity -boardroom style) the Temple of Peace is an ideal venue for conferences, seminars, meetings or other engagements.


The venue has ample parking (outside office hours)and is within walking distance of all the amenities to be expected of the capital’s city centre. It can also be easily reached by public transport and is a short bus or taxi ride from the city’s coach and rail stations.

Situated within the city’s civic centre, visitors to the Temple can also enjoy other historic attractions such as the Natural History Museum, the National Assembly for Wales and Alexandria Gardens. In 1998 the Temple of Peace was one of the main venues for the European Council’s Summit Meeting.

 

 

Wedding parties and social events Wedding preped hall

Situated opposite the picturesque Alexandria Gardens and within 2 minutes of Cardiff Registry Office the Temple of Peace is an ideal location for a wedding reception or party. The elegant high-ceilinged main hall, together with the marble steps, portico columns, large windows and the friezes depicting the figures of Health, Justice and Peace on the front of the building, also make a perfect backdrop to photograph memorable occasions.
