Project: Jugendsiedlung Heidehaus
The project will take place in Heidehaus, Germany. The volunteer will work a team of social-workers and trainers to support young people between ages of 13 to 21 years old to develop the ability to live independently, to become self-organized and an active part of the society they live in. The volunteer will be involved in:
- supporting the children and youth in activities, such as preparing and having meals, keeping the house clean, washing clothes, doing homework, following up leisure activities etc.
- accompanying and supporting young people in attending various appointments such as doctor, dentist, psychologist or appointments regarding schooling matters
- working closely with social workers and support staff.

When does the project start? ASAP for 11/12 months
What does it cost? This project is a European Voluntary Service project under the Erasmus + programme and therefore fully funded through the European Commission.
Except for the travel, you may have to contribute towards some or all of your travel costs to this project as it is a replacement for a volunteer who fell ill and therefore the budget has been used up.
Who can apply? Anyone aged 18-30 at time of application, UK resident before and after departure, valid passport for at least 6 months year after end of activity. No criminal records.
