As part of celebrations in Wales to mark the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus programme of European-funded exchanges, UNA Exchange volunteer Georgia Quinn spoke to BBC Radio Wales about her experiences abroad.
After speaking at the Senedd on Monday, Georgia Quinn was interviewed on BBC Radio Wales about her experience of volunteering abroad with UNA Exchange. Last year Georgia travelled to Belgium, where she worked for two weeks on a farm and at a music festival alongside a group of 10 other young people all from different countries and cultures.
“It wasn’t what I thought: it was even better, it was so good. I would literally recommend it to everyone.”
Georgia explained to BBC Radio Wales listeners that since returning from her volunteering abroad experience she has been more motivated to do things and is keen to continue travelling. Her interviewer, Peter Johnson, recognised that, at 20 years of age, Georgia has had an experience that not many others of her age have had.
