Are you passionate about building a more peaceful world? Want to join a team to put into action a project idea that could make a real difference in your community? If so, the Young Peace Ambassadors (YPA) programme is for you!

What is the YPA program?

The YPA programme is a minimum one-year voluntary experience designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a leader in peacebuilding. Through training, mentorship, and project funding, you’ll gain the tools you need to make a sustainable and meaningful impact in Wales.

What will you gain?

  • Develop essential skills: Hone your leadership, communication, project management, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Make a real difference: Implement your own peacebuilding project with financial support from the programme.

Who can apply?

  • Any young person aged 14-21 residing in Wales.

    Very interesting! Hopefully one of the peacebuilding projects also focuses on children´s protection (SDG 16.2.) which seems to be essential for peacebuilding if you follow the theory of Austrian peace researcher Franz Jedlicka (“The forgotten Peace Formula”).
