The 15th of January 2020, several protests were organised across the UK to raise awareness and halt the passing of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill (PCSCBill). In this article we try to gathered views from all sides, presenting different points for each to decide why and how this bill should concern us:
The bill has been widely debated among civil society and also, in political spheres across the UK. Despite some resistance over certain points, a few days ago the Senedd released a legislative consent memorandum expressing its agreement and how the bill might be of use to the citizens of Wales.
