Workshops and examples for ethical citizenship in the classroom.

About this event

Do you or your learners want to change the world?

Over the last year, we have seen the impact that one person can have on the world. From Greta Thunberg and Malala Yousafzai, to young people participating at COP26, young people are finding their voices and making change happen.

In this conference, we will support students to explore practical techniques to make change happen through a series of interactive activities including online workshops, change pledges, real-life examples of campaigns, and more!

When you register, you will be able to choose from a range of workshops including how to lobby your MP, learning about global issues like discrimination, fast fashion, deforestation and what you can do about it, how to create a change campaign and global music and celebrations. We will contact you with digital links for the event and you will be invited to contribute a change project you have done if you would like to celebrate it (not compulsory!)

This project is a great way to engage students with the ethical citizenship purpose of the New Curriculum in Wales. It forms a fantastic opportunity for School Councils to work together to create changes, and learn about their voice in the wider world.

Students and teachers will join the conference via Zoom on Wednesday 4th of May at 9.30am.
