Academi Heddwch and Wales Arts International invite you to two special events at the Eisteddfod Genedlaethol 2025 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Hiroshima, highlighting the importance of remembrance for contemporary and active peace making.

Cofio, Cofio, Cofio: an in-conversation between Cian Ciarán and Catharine Nagashima with Deputy Chair of Academi Heddwch, Jill Evans. Simultaneous translation will be available.
We will walk from the Pabell Heddwch to the Cerrig yr Orsedd

Hibakusha: join us for the start of the premiere of Cian Ciarán’s soundscape that pays tribute to those who died in the Hiroshima tragedy and their families. The audio installation will last for six hours (12:01-6pm), marking the time it took for the US plane, the Enola Gray, to reach Hiroshima. It’s an invitation to make our own quiet reflections on peace at the ceremonial heart of the Maes.
