Young Peacemakers Awards – 2024

Do you know a young person who has made a difference in your school or community or who has inspired others?

The Welsh Centre for International Affairs (WCIA) and Academi Heddwch Cymru are working with the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod to celebrate children and young people who have contributed to peace, sustainability and equality in their school, youth group, local community or in the wider world. 

Together we will host our 8th annual Young Peacemakers Awards Ceremony at the Llangollen Eisteddfod on Friday 5th July 2024 at 12pm where young people will receive a certificate and an award. Individual young people or groups (between 5 and 25 years old) can enter under the following categories or you can also choose to submit a nomination!

  • Young Community Peacebuilder
  • Young Peace Writer(s) categories for Primary and Secondary aged young people)
  • Young Peace Artist(s) (categories for Primary and Secondary aged young people)
  • Young Climate Action Hero
  • Young Mental Health Champion
  • Young Peace Heritage

The closing date for applications this year is 31st May 2024.
