100 years ago in the aftermath of World War 1, 390,296 women across Wales signed a Peace Petition to the women of America calling for 'the proud heritage of a warless world'. Join in marking the centenary by helping to uncover this remarkable story; by transcribing the signatories; follow 'Annie's Diary' of their 1924 Peace Tour of America; and explore peace priorities for women today.

UN Day, 24 October 2024 - Wales Uniting Nations
24 October is #UNDay / United Nations Day 2024, 79 years after the signing of the UN Charter in the aftermath of #WW2. The charter's 1st signatory, Viscount Halifax, laid the foundation stone of Wales' Temple of Peace & Health; and in 1946, Temples staff were seconded to organise the 1st UN General Assembly - opened by the Temple Choir. Indeed, the UN's origins had a distinctly 'Welsh' flavour...!
