The mosaics adorning the Spanish Archway, at the entrance to Wales’ National Garden of Peace, were created by international youth volunteers participating in a 2015 exchange project to renovate the Peace Garden as part of the HLF-funded Wales for Peace project.
The colourful ‘welcome’ mosaic at the entrance to Wales’ National Garden of Peace, which combines the rainbow colours of anti-war campaigning with the symbolic white poppy.
The reverse mosaic facing Cardiff City Centre, encourages visitors to take the spirit of Peace with them from the garden – ‘Heddwch’, in Welsh – with a beautiful image celebrating nature, in the dragonfly.
