Global Citizenship training in European Public Health Week

On 25 May 2023, WCIA Chief Executive, Susie Ventris-Field, delivered a global citizenship taster with Public Health Wales as part of European Public Health Week.
The theme of the week was Public Health: Global issues, local actions. Susie said:
Global citizenship is ultimately all about thinking global and acting local so a global citizenship taster was perfect for the theme.
In the session, we explored what we mean by global citizenship, why it’s important for delivering our sustainability ambitions in Wales and the world, and tried out some global citizenship tools.

All participants said they enjoyed the session and some committed to follow up actions including taking further training on the topic, incorporating global citizenship into education work, and trying out some of the global citizenship tools in work.
