WCIA and UNA Exchange have been involved in hosting Long-term volunteers since 1998. It has been an absolutely fantastic journey ever since to host the young, motivated volunteers from across the world in Wales. They have made an amazing contribution to the local communities in Wales and gained in regards to their own personal development. This summer WCIA is hosting 20 volunteers based in different charities across Wales, funded by the European Solidarity Corps. This is the highest number of hosted and coordinated yet and we are very excited about this and are looking forward to this summer.
We are currently looking for host families or individuals who have a spare room in and around Cardiff and are interested in accommodating an international volunteer from July for 12 months. We would expect the host to be DBS checked and have a spare room available for the full length of 12 months. WCIA will compensate for the costs of hosting the volunteer.
