Have your say: How can we shape a globally responsible nation as we recover from COVID19?
Funded by our partners at Oxfam Cymru, we are organising a series of expert discussions this year to discuss and debate important global issues.
The series will involve agreeing on recommendations for Welsh Government, public bodies and people in Wales in order to make progress towards becoming a globally responsible country.
Our first discussion asked what does anti-racist global responsibility looks like, which provoked an interesting conversation with attendees and our discussion partner, Sub-Sahara Advisory Panel.
We are continuing to reach out to anyone who has expertise and wants to share thoughts/experiences with us on the following topics and dates:
- Human rights, equality and global responsibility: 21st September, 2pm-4pm
- Globally responsible soft power: 25th September, 2pm-4pm
- Peace, justice and global responsibility: 8th October, 2-4pm
- Wales in the global supply economy: supply chains, trade and trade-offs: TBC (mid-October)
If you or someone from your organisation or network would like to join any of the discussions, email lizziewalker@wcia.org.uk or send us a direct message via Twitter or Facebook
Later this year, we are aiming to hold an open event to share and discuss recommendations from all the discussions, followed by a policy event and launch in Spring 2021.
